New Snows Group Hampshire 1 leaders Fordingbridge will fancy their chances of being able to look down on the rest of the table for another week as they host bottom side Overton tomorrow.

Bridge deposed Andover last week with a vital victory in the tight battle to dominate the league.

Tomorrow’s game is still under threat from the rain clouds that have been forecast to gather over The Rec, but volunteers have been manning pumps for a week to get rid of surface water.

Bridge are likely to make two changes from the side that toppled Andover.

Matt Vass is due to come into the second row for Alex Tattersall, who is unavailable and Ross Bealey has returned to university so Mike Grimes is back on the right wing after injury.

Andover head out of the county to mid-table Bognor, while Team Solent, so long Hampshire 1 pacesetters, have home advantage over an unpredictable US Portsmouth who are only four points off the lead. Millbrook are also four points back in fourth place. They will entertain Farnborough at Five Acres. Southampton are facing relegation back into Hampshire 2 and need a favourable result at Alton if they are to rein in Romsey who will be hoping to leapfrog opponents Isle of Wight when they cross The Solent.

Fareham Heathens take on lowly Stoneham in Snows Group Hampshire 2 knowing they have a couple of games in hand over leaders Petersfield, who have a tricky tie at Locks Heath Pumas. Fawley receive a visit from bottom side Alresford.
