EASTLEIGH have today added to their squad with the arrival of striker Ben Wright, initially on a month's loan from Skrill Premier Division outfit Salisbury City.

The much-travelled 25-year-old started his career with his home town club Basingstoke Town where he had loan spells with Winchester City, Andover and Carshalton Athletic.

After signing for Andover, he moved on to Fleet Town and then Hampton & Richmond Borough before getting his Football League break with Peterborough United.

Further loan spells followed at Kettering Town, Luton Town, Grimsby Town, Barnet and Hayes & Yeading United before a transfer to Crawley Town.

He then went back to Hayes and on to Newport County, both on loan, followed by a permanent move to Braintree Town.

Forest Green Rovers then took Wright on a permanent deal, loaning him back to Braintree, before Wright signed for Salisbury City last summer.

Wright recently went full circle, returning to Eastleigh's Skrill Conference South rivals Basingstoke Town on loan.

Spitfires boss Richard Hill, whose side are knocking on the door of promotion from the Conference South, described Wright as "a further quality signing to add some more depth to the squad as we prepare for a second half of a season to be played in three months."

Wright will be added to the squad for the home game against Maidenhead United on Saturday (3pm).
