Players have just a few days left to join this year’s exciting Stubbington Ark Hampshire Darts Open line-up.

Organisers have extended the deadline and will be accepting entry forms (below), that arrive on their doorstep by April 2.

The competition, the biggest one-day open in the country, will be staged at Southampton’s Novotel on Saturday, April 12.

It is being backed by Stubbington Ark – the biggest animal charity on the south coast.

The animal rescue and welfare organisation is using the Hampshire Open’s popularity to spread the word of its work and to raise funds for its latest project – Paws4Help.

For more than 25 years the Stubbington Ark (RSPCA Solent Branch) Animal Shelter in Fareham has served the community, taking in and re-homing abandoned animals over a 400 square mile radius in Hampshire.”

Staff will be on hand at the open to help spread the word.

Joint event oganiser, Frank Branscombe of Hampshire Darts, said: “I’ve always found darts players to be generally caring people so I’m sure they will welcome the new sponsors with open arms.

“You need groups like this to protect and look after the best interests of animals; I’m sure we will work well together.

“All the signs are that this, the 15th Hampshire Open, will be another great success.

“But, I urge anyone wanting to join us to get their application in straight away as we have to make the all-important draw and simply cannot accept entries after Wednesday.”
