BEN Wright, whose goals helped fire Eastleigh into the Conference Premier, is on the verge of a permanent move to the Silverlake Stadium.
Pending finalisation of paperwork with the FA, the player who scored an impressive 11 goals in 15 games on loan from Salisbury City, will become the Spitfires’ fifth summer signing,.
He follows strikers James Constable and Jack Midson, defender Paul Reid and midfielder Craig Stanley into the Silverlake as Richard Hill’s men prepare to hit the ground running in non-League’s top flight.
Wright, who hails from Basingstoke, began his career at his home town club and went on to play for Hampton & Richmond Borough, Peterborough United, Crawley Town and Braintree.
The 25-year-old signed for Salisbury last summer and began his prolific loan spell at Eastleigh in early February after spending a month back at Basingstoke.
A club statement said: “We welcome Ben back to the Silverlake Stadium and wish him a successful time at the club.”
