EIGHT Hampshire cricket stars will descend on Winchester for an annual charity fundraiser this weekend.
Star Sixes will be held at St Cross Symondians Cricket Ground, in St Cross Road, this Sunday (July 20), and feature Glenn Maxwell, Sean Ervine, Jimmy Adams, Dale Benkenstein, Matt Coles, Adam Wheater, Will Smith and Lewis McManus.
It will raise money for the club and Hampshire Cricket Community Trust.
The players were auctioned off to represent a six-a-side team, with proceeds going towards the £6,000 target.
Mark Richards, fundraising chairman, said: “It will be a fantastic family day out and this year is set to be our most popular ever. We are extremely lucky to have the ongoing support of the Hampshire players.”
The day includes dance routines and workshops from Ageas Angels, demonstrations from Poseidon Amateur Boxing Club, live music, children’s entertainment, hog roast, competitions, BBQ and beer tent.
