Terry Azor (Chandlers Ford Central) won the Southampton Billiards and Snooker Association’s snooker singles championship at Shirley Cons club.

He defeated Nick Wood (Hamble Social) 2-1 in the final, to clinch his second title in three years, after a 2-0 semi final success against Wayne Muddiman.

Wood had beaten Josh Barnes (Totton Rec) 2-0 in the other semi final.

Azor went ahead in the final thanks to a 42 break, but Wood forced a decider by winning the second 63-24.

Breaks of 17 and 24 helped Azor into a 45-5 lead, eventually winning 53-11 as Wood conceded with the colours left.
