HAMPSHIRE were one of only two counties to enjoy an attendance increase in all competitions last season.

County champions Yorkshire are the only other side to boast a year-on-year increase in 2015.

Hampshire’s home games in the NatWest T20 Blast had a 20 per cent rise in attendances and their Ageas Bowl matches in the Royal London One-Day Cup and LV= County Championship were also watched by more than in 2014.

Almost 40,000 people also witnessed England’s one-day internationals at the Ageas Bowl, against New Zealand and Australia.

The news comes after the England and Wales Cricket Board announced that 2015 was a record-breaking year for all international and domestic attendances, with an aggregate of more than 1.5m.
