AMESBURY Town have sealed promotion to the Sydenhams Premier Division.
The Blues required one victory from their last two games to clinch runners-up spot in Division One.
They achieved it last night with a 3-1 home win over newly-crowned league champions Portland United who will join them in the top flight next season.
Danny Finnigan bagged a brace and Josh Stockwell scored the other for the elated Blues, who successfully fended off Tadley Calleva in the race for second spot.
Amesbury boss Gareth Horner beamed: “It topped off what has been an eventful three years for the club.
“Who would have thought that in such a short space of time we would have achieved promotion to the Wessex Premier League?”
