OTTERBOURNE face an attacking selection dilemma ahead of their Hampshire Intermediate Cup final against Bournemouth Manor at AFC Totton's Testwood Stadium tonight (7.45pm kick off).

Manager Richard Luffman is lining up Otters' best ever season in their 55-year history with two massive cup finals in the space of a week.

It all starts against Bournemouth Saturday League outfit Manor today before an Andover Cup final against South Wonston Swifts at Andover New Street's Foxcotte Park on Tuesday night (7.30pm kick off).

Luffman's head scratcher finds him with four in-form wide players, who are all on double figures for goals this term, competing for just two places in the team.

"I'm having a massive headache trying to pick a side," the boss said. "I have wide players like Steven Hall (19 goals), Mitchell Parker (16 goals), Tom Richards (11 goals) and Tom Ashton (15 goals) all vying for the two wide spaces."

Two players that Otters will be without are Sam Doswell and Scott Munro who are both cup tied after playing for Vanarama National League South champions Sutton United in the FA Trophy.

However, Luffman can call on the services of former Gosport Borough and Bashley central defender Graham Mills to fill the void left by Doswell.

"The whole club is excited, it should be a big crowd there," said Luffman. "For me its been three years of extremely hard work to put together what, in my opinion, is the best side at this level.

"We have watched Manor and they win games by being physical and direct. We play the ball on the ground, so it should be a very interesting game with two different styles of play."

Manor are a top side having won all 17 of their league games this term so far, but Otters are in hot form themselves.

The Oakwood Park outfit have won 26 of their last 28 games and netted 29 goals in five games.

They are second in the Hampshire Premier League, but won't be able to catch newly crowned champions Baffins Milton Rovers with two games to go.

One man's form in particular – 51-goal top scorer Tom Sands – has been not gone unnoticed by Sydenham League sides who have been queuing up to secure his services.

However, Luffman is pleased report that Sands won't be departing the Hampshire Premier League high fliers.

"He has had every Wessex Prem club on the phone but he will be staying with me next season regardless of the approaches," he explained.
