FORMER Eastleigh midfielder Josh Payne has signed for a higher division club.
Following his release from the Silverlake Stadium after just one season, the midfielder has signed for League 2 club Crawley Town.
New Crawley head coach Dermot Drummy said: "Josh is an exciting player . He is the type of midfielder who will break up play for us, be aggressive and also get us going forward."
Meanwhile Will Evans, another of the Spitfires' released players, has signed for Vanarama National League rivals Aldershot Town.
"I’ve always enjoyed playing here – although I had a bit of stick from the fans," said Evans after signing for Shots.
"Hopefully I can change their minds and do them proud."
