THERE will be no spare seats on Barnet’s bus for tomorrow's (Tuesday, 7.45pm) pre-season friendly at Eastleigh.

Bees boss Martin Allen is bringing his full League Two squad down to face Chris Todd’s Vanarama National League promotion hopefuls at the Silverlake Stadium - irrespective of whether they are playing or not.

That will include powerhouse striker John Akinde, who has just signed a new three-year contract with morth London club.

Speaking after a 2-0 victory over League One side Gillingham at The Hive on Saturday, Barnet’s fourth win of pre-season, Allen told the club website: “Those who didn’t play against Gillingham will play on Tuesday night against Eastleigh.

“Everyone who has trained so hard behind the scenes deserves a chance to play.

“All the players who played today but aren’t playing at Eastleigh will also travel.

“We’ll have a whole bus-load of players all going in the same direction!

“I’m expecting a full-on committed performance and another win away from home."

The Spitfires, though, boast an impressive pre-season record of their own.

Todd’s new-look squad are bonding nicely, having lost just one of six friendlies to date – a slender 2-1 defeat at Scottish Premiership outfit Hamilton Academical – and they have banged in 12 goals in their last three outings against East Kilbride (0-3), Weymouth (1-5) and Poole Town (4-2).

League One new boys Northampton Town provide the opposition this Saturday (3pm) in Eastleigh’s last home friendly and there is an additional fixture at Alex Pike’s Gosport Borough on Monday (August 1, 7.45pm) before the big VNL opener at home to Guiseley on Saturday week.

Former Eastleigh marksman Ben Wright bagged a hat-trick for Gosport as they overcame Bognor Regis Town 4-0 at the Aerial Direct Stadium on Saturday. Ex-Winchester goal machine Warren Bentley also got off the mark for his new club.
