LERONE 'Rudy' Plummer has found a new club after failing to make the cut at Southern One South & West outfit Winchester City.

The nomadic frontman has dropped back into the Sydenhams Wessex Premier Division with John Robson's Andover Town.

He made his debut for the Portway outfit, going on as a second-half substitute during their 1-0 defeat at Fareham Town last weekend.

Fareham are one of Plummer's many former clubs, with QK Southampton, Brockenhurst, Moneyfields and Whitchurch United among his other ports of call.

The pacy forward had a productive pre-season for Winchester, but the cathedral city club decided to release him following their 5-3 opening day defeat at Slimbridge.

Director of football Dave Malone said at the time: "Rudy has done well but, because of the competition for places, I don't think he would have got enough football had he stayed with us.

"We could have spun him a line and kept him here, but it wouldn't have been fair.

"Rudy needs to play for a Wessex League club for a whole season."

Andover entertain Bemerton Heath Harlequins this evening (Tuesday, 7.45pm).
