EASTLEIGH are set to be stars of the small screen next month – and pocket a cash windfall into the bargain - when their Emirates FA Cup first round tie against Swindon Town is shown live on BBC1.
The National League-versus-League One showdown has been given the prime slot of Friday, November 4 (7.55pm), kicking off the weekend’s live televised Cup coverage.
Eastleigh chairman Stewart Donald’s second favourite club Oxford United will take the BT Sport 1 spotlight on Saturday (November 5, 12.30pm) away to non-League minnows Merstham.
Live coverage concludes on Monday, November 7 when Southport take on Fleetwood Town, also on BT Sport 1.
All six teams will receive an FA broadcast fee of £67,500 per club.
Dates and times for the remaining 37 matches to be played over that weekend have still to be confirmed.
