WINCHESTER City have got stuck in a rut in the Southern One South & West.
Tonight’s 2-1 home defeat to Bishop’s Cleeve was the third straight loss for Ian Saunders’ 18th-placed side.
Craig Feeney’ 73rd-minute goal was too little, too late for the Citizens who had already succumbed to a Jack Horrell brace in front of a crowd of just 98.
Moneyfields remain top of the Sydenhams Premier after goals from Nathan Paxton, Dan Hayes (2) and Callum Laycock secured a 4-1 win at Whitchurch.
It maintained a three-point gap over Blackfield & Langley who triumphed 2-1 at Alresford Town.
Despite some smart saves from veteran ex-Eastleigh keeper Wayne Shaw, Alresford fell two down to goals from Liam Robinson and Sam Poole before John Cole headed in Chris Mason’s corner.
Alresford stay second to bottom, sandwiched between Verwood and Bournemouth Poppies who drew 0-0.
In Sydenhams One, two Tom Donaldson stikes clinched Romsey Town a 2-1 win at Hythe & Dibden – the sinking Watersiders’ fifth league defeat on the spin.
