A PITCH invasion by Salisbury supporters at Wantage Town is being investigated by the FA.
A small group of travelling fans raced onto the pitch at Alfredian Park to celebrate Justin Bennett's dramatic stoppage-time winner on Saturday, writes Joel Holt.
The 1-0 victory propelled Whites back into the Southern One South & West play-off places, but it might come at a heavy price.
Referee Marcus Carmichael lodged the incident in his report, which has been sent to the FA headquarters at Wembley.
A spokesman from the FA has confirmed "we are looking into the matter" and "it's in the early stages".
If Whites are charged, they could face a maximum penalty of £1,700.
The Ray Mac outfit have released the following statement on the incident: "Salisbury Football Club is currently carrying out an investigation into the incident that took place on Saturday.
"If anyone can provide us with any information, they can do so by calling the club on 01722 776655 or via email admin@salisburyfc.co.uk."
