MARTIN Allen's old club Barnet have this evening announced the signing of Eastleigh winger Luke Coulson for an undisclosed fee.

The League Two club's official website also states that 21-year-old Bees defender Sam Muggleton is moving in the opposite direction.

Neither deal has yet been confirmed by Eastleigh.

Muggleton, a left back, initially signed for Barnet on loan towards the end of the 2013/14 campaign, having previous worked under Allen at Gillingham.

He made six Bees appearances before agreeing a permanent switch in the summer of 2014.

He went on to make 58 appearances in black and amber, scoring once in a 4-0 rout of Southport in January 2015.

He was part of the side which won the Vanarama Conference in 2015, making 16 appearances for the Bees en-route to promotion.

He is the son of Carl Muggleton who recently joined Eastleigh as coach.

On the signing of winger Coulson, Barnet said they had made him their fifth addition of the January transfer window.

The 22-year-old, signed by Eastleigh from Oxford City a year ago, has attracted much attention in recent months.

Midlands pair Birmingham City and Wolverhampton Wanderers were reportedly showing an interest prior to Christmas and Eastleigh confirmed today that they had already turned down two approaches for him this month.

Coulson has scored six goals in 25 outings for the Spitfires this season.
