STEVE Harding struck a hat-trick to finish as the Hampshire Premier League top flight's leading goalscorer for 2016/17.

Harding blasted his goals in quick succession - in the 37th, 38th and 42nd minutes - as Liphook won 5-1 at Fleetlands.

Fleetlands had already clinched runners-up spot behind champions Bush Hill, while Liphook's win saw them finish third.

Alex Yates and Tom Bedford also netted for Liphook.

Harding finished with 30 league goals - two more than Nathan Gray.

Gray, who joined Bush Hill mid-season after starting the campaign with QK Southampton, netted his 28th in a 4-1 home win over Paulsgrove.

Gray levelled the scores in the 34th minute - after Bob White had put Paulsgrove ahead - with Martyn Randall (pictured) and Cain Prentice also netting before half-time. John Macauley struck in the second half.

Ben Chambers ended as the top flight's third highest marksman.

Like Harding, he fired a final day treble as Locks Heath romped to a 5-0 win at Overton.

Chambers scored in the 20th, 34th and 82nd minutes to take his seasonal league tally to 27.

Charlie Cooper netted in the 62nd and 73rd minutes.

George Callard gave QK Southampton a third minute lead at home to Hedge End Rangers, who levelled in first half injury time through Kenny Gatera.
