THIS afternoon's scheduled Vanarama National League showdown between Eastleigh and Chester is OFF.
The Spitfires have tweeted in the last hour that the match has been postponed.
The Stoneham Lane club are due to issue a statement shortly, but the indications are that the problematic corner of their new pitch - between the blue and green stands - is to blame after overnight rain.
Opponents Chester tweeted: "We have been informed that today's game @EastleighFC has been called off.
"The #Blues' players and staff are going to the ground - any fans already there please come and meet Marcus (manager Marcus Bignot) and the lads!"
