SISTERS Gracie-May and Peggy-Rae Thomas won 15 medals between them at the Dwarf Sports Association UK Games.
The Thornhill girls’ haul included NINE gold medals as well as six silvers.
Gracie, 14, won gold medals in the javelin, shot, discus, 40m dash and 25m freestyle swimming as well as silver in the basketball and cycling events during the three-day competition in Birmingham.
Peggy, eight, won gold in the shot, javelin, basketball and swimming and silver in the 60m dash, 40m dash, hockey and discus.
Proud mum Ali Thomas said: “The games are organised every year for children and adult with restricted growth to participate on an even keel with others .
“Medals aside, they had an amazing time and were made to feel very welcome.
“As an added bonus were lucky enough to meet the Patron of DSAUK Ellie Simmonds (right).
“I am so proud of both girls for winning all of their medals, especially in the heat of the bank holiday weekend, especially as this was their first time attending anything like this. They’ve done an amazing job.”
