Spitfires hit for six

Eastleigh's late-season slide continued with a shock 6-1 hammering at Boreham Wood in the Blue Square Bet South.

It was the Spitfires' fourth defeat of a win-less five-match league run.

To rub salt into the visitors' wounds, they had midfielder Scott Rogers red-carded in the second half. But, by then, Wood were already well on their way to a landslide victory.

New Eastleigh signing Lee Peacock branded the Spitfires' performance "embarrassing", admitting: "From back to front we weren't good enough."

Paul Murray forced to resign,Malone rightly sacked, but being accused of financial mismanagement,Ronnie wrongly sacked amongst other things accused very unfairly of dishonesty, directors from Bridle not attending games, and privately wishing they had never got involved. Bridle will end in tears,as they have ripped the heart out of the club.Forcing Paul Murray to go is a major error, putting players on huge contracts all year round is also financial suicide. This will finish Eastleigh as a well run club, mark my words.

Mark did not mention the manager, who has failed to get promotion for the declining Spitfires, yet again, and should be replaced.

Love em or hate em - beastly have been a good example of growing a non league team - I saw em in the Wessex years ago so give a bit of credit although there are better non league outfits locally imo

Typical Eastleigh fans give Bridle some credit they bought a football club from Williams, Malone , Murray and all the other crooks at Eastleigh then found a shortfall fall of almost 200 k that they had to fund

Your club was being robbed by its own people and YOU turn on Bridle ?

As for your manager he is one if the best managers if not the best

I'm surprised he hasn't walked out he is worth much better than the stick he gets from a bunch of so called supporters

You need to stop moaning and get rid if the likes of Budny and the other hangers on

Meanwhile Sean Whelan has steadied the ship at AFC it wouldn't surprise me if he returns he was one of only a few that didn't take from the club

You people need to wind your necks in you didn't go down after you were favourites you just missed out on promotion and the investment continues to come in for next year get a grip

Strong Rumour that Sean Whelan will return at the end of the season he totally denied it on Saturday but I think he will go back as Chairman he might have on,y been the Mic man but a lot of people under estimate him

The Echo reported around 30 non-playing people were taking money out of the club.
What a disgrace Eastleigh and the rest of the board were in allowing this to go on.
A message to Bridle many Eastleigh supporters feel robbed by the old regime and will not be returning unless you have a clear out at the club.
