PUMA ENGINEERING HPL Liphook United 1 Winchester Castle 3 CLASSY Castle stunned joint leaders Liphook with a 3-1 away win.
Darren Crowfoot, Ben Morgan and John Williams all returned for Castle, who had the better of the first half – Liphook not registering a shot on goal until the 38th minute.
Castle now have five straight wins and six matches unbeaten during their climb to third spot.
Castle Reserves went to the top of the Combination division with a 3-2 win over former leaders Liphook Reserves.
Castle’s goals came from James Wilkinson, with a brace, and Tom King.
