Young Wasps play in front of 10,000
ROMSEY Wasps under-sevens won a famous nine tries to two victory against Stamford, Essex in front of more than 10,200 spectators in the Highland Spring Tag Rugby Challenge at Adams Park, High Wycombe during half-time in the London Wasps versus Gloucester Premiership match.
After morning training they entertained a sell-out crowd who were watching Lawrence Dallaglio and Danny Cipriani play for their London namesakes.
Coach Trevor Tweedle said: "The team did really well to win so convincingly in front of olver 10,000 spectators. They ran and passed the ball with great skill, and defended in fine style."
Afterwards some of the team met England World Cup Winner Ian Balshaw and fly half Ryan Lamb.
Romsey's Un7 squad are pictured with the Heineken Cup at Adam's Park.
