Danni Hartshorn has been found safe and well
A 16-year-old girl who was last seen with a man named as the prime suspect in a murder inquiry has been found safe and well, police said.
Danni Hartshorn was spotted on Thursday morning with Sean Bailey, who is wanted in connection with a fatal stabbing.
A man in his early 20s found in Dove Close, Waterlooville, Hampshire, at around 5.30am on Thursday, suffering from knife wounds, was later declared dead in hospital.
Bailey, 28, from Waterlooville, has been named by Hampshire Police as the suspect in the case.
The public has been urged not to approach him but dial 999 immediately if they see him.
A post-mortem examination is to be carried out to establish how the unnamed victim died.
Chief Inspector Alison Heydari said the force was "dedicating local expertise and experience to gather all available evidence so whoever was responsible for this serious crime is brought to justice swiftly".
She added: "Our local safer neighbourhoods teams are maintaining their active presence in this community with high visibility patrols to help reassure residents about the situation. An experienced group of officers and police staff from the major investigation team are focused on finding a known suspect as soon as possible.
"We're now able to release the name of this suspect and his photograph in an appeal for assistance from the public to locate him. The suspect's name is Sean Thomas Bailey, aged 28, from Waterlooville.
"Although there is no information to suggest a specific threat to anyone else in the community at this time, our advice is that members of the public should not approach Mr Bailey if they see him. Any sightings should be reported to the police immediately by phoning 999."
