ALDRICH Bernard Eric Former River Keeper at Broadlands Died on 23rd August 2019 aged 90. Beloved husband, father, brother, grandpa and great grandpa. Will be sadly missed by all his family and friends. A Celebration of His Life will take place at Test Valley Crematorium, Romsey on Friday 13th September 2019 at 1.45pm. No flowers please but donations if desired for George's Trust, Jane Scarth House and The Romsey Hedgehog Lady may be sent to A H Cheater Funeral Directors, 122 The Hundred. I’ve just watched on YouTube the wonderful documentary about Mr. Aldrich and his position as River Keeper at Broadlands. It’s a lovely film of a lovely man who clearly loved his family, his work and his river. I hope to fish the Test one day and I feel a debt of gratitude to Mr. Aldrich. My condolences to his family and friends. What a tremendous legacy he has left us. I shall raise a glass in his honor.
