STUDENTS at a Southampton university have been urged to self-isolate over fears of Coronavirus.
A student at Solent University has been urged to self-isolate by Public Health England.
The student reportedly came into contact with someone who tested positive for Coronavirus.
The university says it is supporting the student while they remain in their accommodation.
A university spokesperson said: "Our first priority is supporting the affected student and anyone else who may feel concerned by this news.
"We remain confident the University is a safe environment and will continue to monitor the situation closely.”
It comes as two pupils at Western Primary School in Winchester have been tested for the Coronavirus,
The headteacher Peter Burbridge alerted parents in a letter on Monday.
A pupil at Perins secondary school in Alresford has also tested positive with the school undergoing a "deep clean".
