Lindley Gardens, Alresford SO24

Guide price

  • Bedrooms: 3
A spacious three double bedroom house conveniently located for the town centre and local schools. Useful additional living space has been created from the former garage. There is parking to the front and a pretty garden, with a pergola and swing seat to the rear. Lindley Gardens benefits from it's own green, allowing a great space for neighboring children and families to play.

The property is approached from the driveway. The boiler is in a cupboard by the front door. On entering the house, the kitchen is on the right hand side and features a range of fitted units and worktops, a stainless steel sink, a free-standing gas oven and hob, and spaces for a fridge freezer and washing machine (appliances not included). There is plumbing in place for a dishwasher, subject to the removal of one of the kitchen units. The former garage has been converted into a dining room/study, which could easily double as a family room. There is a coats cupboard, and a cloakroom under the stairs. The l-shaped living room has an open fireplace with a marble-tiled surround and hearth. French doors open to the garden.

On the first floor landing is an airing cupboard housing the hot water cylinder, and access to the part-boarded loft via a fitted loft ladder. The principle bedroom is at the rear of the house and has a pleasant view over the garden. Bedroom two has exposed floorboards, built-in wardrobes, and distant southerly views towards the South Downs. The third bedroom is at the rear of the property. The bathroom has a white suite comprising a bath with a separate shower above, a pedestal wash hand basin, wc and a heated towel rail.

Outside, there is a block paviour driveway to the front of the property allowing parking for one car. In our opinion, there is space for an additional space to be created. A gate to the side of the house leads into a covered walkway/storage area, and on into the pretty rear garden, where there is a paved seating area, a garden shed and wood store. Steps lead up to the lawned garden, with shrub borders and a pergola with a swing seat.

Alresford is a beautiful Georgian town known for its variety of independent shops, restaurants and inns located in stunning surroundings on the edge of the South Downs National Park. Attractions include the Watercress steam railway, schools for infant, junior and secondary education, several churches and an active and inclusive community. The cathedral city of Winchester is about 7 miles away and there is easy access to the south coast, the midlands and London via the road network. There is also mainline rail access to London from both Winchester and Alton. Southampton airport is only about half an hour away by car.
