STAFF at Hampshire beauty spot, The Grange will host an open day in anticipation of its annual opera festival.

The Grange Festival is to return to Northington later this year, bringing world class performances for all families to enjoy.

A launch event will be held on April 28 between 12.30pm and 5pm, featuring live outside entertainment and activities for all ages.

Performances include acts from some of the county's best-to-offer, including Hampshire Youth Dance, Hampshire Youth Ensembles Combo Band and Perins School.

Kate Dimbleby, the renowned cabaret singer, is pencilled in to make a headline appearance.

There will also be a falconry display, petting farm, face painting and art workshops, along with a number of stalls with various items for sale inside the house and outside.

The festival itself is due to kick off on June 6, lasting a whole month.

Guests attending the opening day will pay a £5 donation per car on arrival.
