MORE than 500,000 bees have been stolen in Test Valley.
Two bee hives have been taken from a private allotment in King Lane in Stockbridge.
One hive was three-storey and had more than 500,000 bees in it.
An empty nucleus hive was also stolen.
Police have launched an investigation into the thefts.
Hampshire Constabulary said: "The hives are valued at £500 and we are keen to hear from anyone that has any information that would help us in our investigation.
"Did you see anyone acting suspicious in the area?"
Anyone with information is asked to contact 101 quoting 44180131097. The theft took place at sometime since Friday April 6.
