TWO images of Iceland took won the top prizes at a Romsey camera competition.

Viewfinders of Romsey Camera Club held its annual Landscape Trophies contest, with around 80 photographs entered.

Judge Zaid Meherali, who had a busy evening, awarded the trophy for best print to Kirkjufell, by Ben Sasson, saying that it was a traditional landscape image and he liked all elements of the picture.

Second place in the category went to Dawn at Mupe Bay, by Andrew Greenwood, and third place went to Turbines at Rest by Peter Finch. Seals of Merit were awarded to Stephen Cooper, Heath Gough-Holt and Terry Jamieson.

In the projected digital image category, the trophy was awarded to Svartifoss, a waterfall in Vatnajokull National Park, by Gerald Ponting.

Second place was given to Sandy Shoes, by Tom Humphreys, and Peter Finch gained another third place with St Thomas’, Romney Marsh.

Viewfinders meet most Tuesdays at the Jubilee Hall, New Road, in Timsbury.
