TWO new rides open at Peppa Pig World in Paultons Park, Ower, this week, but VIPS and special guests were treated to a sneak preview.

Guests, including Good Morning Britain and Strictly Come Dancing Star Charlotte Hawkins and her family, got the chance to try out The Queen’s Flying Coach Ride and Grampy Rabbit’s Sailing Club ride before they open to the general public.

On Sunday, it was the turn of competition winners, to try out the new rides.

The Queen’s Flying Coach Ride takes families on a monorail ride in individual coaches high above ground level, offering views across Peppa Pig World.

The Queen’s Castle stands ten metres high, and the structure incorporates a new catering outlet, The Queen’s Kitchen.

Grampy Rabbit’s Sailing Club Ride sees all ages cruise around a new river route in individual boats, to discover Pirate Island.

Both rides are suitable for younger visitors and older generations alike.

The new developments have seen the addition of a number of new characters to Peppa Pig World, including Gerald Giraffe, Mr Bull, Grandpa Pig having a snooze on his boat, and the Queen.

Stephen Lurton, commercial director of Paultons Park, said: “Peppa Pig World has continued to grow in popularity since opening in 2011 and the additional two new rides will continue to add to its success for many years to come.”

Paulton’s Park first opened its gates in 1983 and has changed dramatically over the years, with Peppa Pig World opening in 2011.

Construction on the new rides began in February 2017. More than a million people visit every year.
