TWO more people have been arrested after a mass brawl at a city pub.

Police say they have arrested a 25-year-old woman and a 32-year-old woman from Southampton on suspicion of violent disorder after the fight at the Ice House pub on Sunday night.

A 30-year-old woman was taken to hospital with a head injury following the fight outside the Warren Avenue pub on Sunday night.

A 31-year-old man was also taken to hospital with a hand injury after the brawl, which is understood to have happened at around 12.30am.

As reported on Monday police charged Charlie John Attrill, 24, from Lockerley Crescent, Southampton, with allegations of violent disorder, possessing a controlled drug of Class A, and threatening a person with a blade or sharply pointed article in a public place.

Police also arrested a 30-year-old woman from Southampton on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and violent disorder.

She has since been released from custody but remains under investigation.

A 29-year-old man from Southampton was also arrested on suspicion of violent disorder.

The 25-year-old woman and the 32-year-old woman are in police custody.

Pub boss Sarah Yorke took to social media on Sunday to warn customers that the pub would be closed until further notice, but said that it has since reopened.

Police cordoned off the pub and spent all night at the scene.

Staff could be seen clearing up the mess as a workman arrived to carry out repairs.

A woman living nearby said: "There used to be a few problems around here but things have been a lot better in the past couple of years."

A neighbour added: "I bought my house five or six years ago and this is the first situation since then."
