THIS is what a new tea room near Romsey will look like.

Hampshire company Ideal Collection has released an artist’s impressions of Kimbridge Barn ahead of its opening later this month.

As previously reported, the venue in Kimbridge was once known as Annie’s Kitchen and Tea Rooms, but was suddenly closed in November last year, when staff and customers were told of its demise on Facebook.

In October this year Ideal Collection, which owns pubs, restaurants and cafe across the county, announced that Kimbridge Barn is the latest addition to its portfolio.

The company has confirmed that the tea room will open on December 15 and has released some images of what it will look like following a £300,000 investment.

The new tea room and cafe will be set within the original building, with the refurbished barn able to accommodate up to 150 guests.

There will also be a smaller room for business meetings.

The cafe and tea room will open on December 15 while the barn and function room will open in mid-January.

The tea room and café will be open 8am-5pm Monday to Friday and 9am-6pm Saturday and Sunday.
