ROMSEY residents are out in force to ensure no-one feels lonely at Christmas.

Volunteers from the Romsey-based charity Unity have been busy helping Santa wrap and tag gifts for Cardea’s clients to bring a bit of early Christmas cheer to their homes.

Cardea Home Support, is a services provided by the charity to support people in their own homes who may need companionship or just some help to resolve an issue which could impact on their quality of life.

In the coming weeks volunteers will visit residents across Romsey and Hampshire in their homes to give them a Christmas gift and wish them happy Christmas.

Terry Bishop, chief executive at Unity, said: “Most of our clients feel lonely, quite a number of them don’t have a family or they have it but they don’t live here. We wanted to make sure no-one feels lonely at Christmas. We are very proud of our volunteers and all the services they provide in the community. They are vital.”
