Sir: Romsey Youth Voices are extremely pleased to hear that a shared pedestrian cycle path along Southampton Road has been given funding from the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL). This is welcome news after our group backed and campaigned for the installation of a shared route along Southampton Road.
I also note that £25,000 has been put towards flood elevation for Greatbridge Road and the Mainstone area to ensure that residents do not experience another awful flooding of their homes. After looking at the flood alleviation plans at a recent Romsey Future Meeting, it is clear that these funds are vital to support the towns infrastructure for years to come and Romsey Youth Voices will be following this vital work for our area
