A POPULAR nature reserve in Romsey has now a dedicated car park.
The new facility at Fishlake Meadows is now available for residents.
The car park can be accessed via the new Oxlease Meadow development and will be open daily from 8am until 6pm.
Jo Armson, reserve officer at Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust, said: “Given Fishlake Meadows’ well-earned reputation for wildlife, it’s no surprise that it’s been exceedingly popular with local people. We hope that by providing this extra parking, more people will be able to enjoy the site – especially those with accessibility needs.”
Visitors will also have the opportunity to enjoy more wildlife as a recent survey has showed several new bird species on the site, including black swan and wood sandpiper.
These records bring the new total to 180 different avian species recorded at Fishlake Meadows.
