Red Cross, Greatwell Drive, Romsey
I am glad that the Red Cross has seen fit to reinstate its mobility aids loans service in Romsey, if only for two hours a week. As this will operate from the same room in the Red Cross centre, presumably with paid staff, I fail to see why they axed the original service, which was available daily and staffed by volunteers. Not only have good volunteers been lost but no savings have apparently been made.
