A ROMSEY secondary school has a newly refurbished science block.
Unchanged for a good number of years, The Mountbatten School has recently unveiled its fresh new complete science block.
The labs have taken on a modern and professional feel and year nine students Libby Salmon and Raphael Jackson were both enthusiastic about the layout of the new rooms.
The said: "They are more modern and practical, and there seems to have been more space created.
"The rooms feel more relaxing and practical work is much easier with the new layout and equipment; even the tables feel and look much nicer than the old wooden ones."
Mr Gentle, Head of Science added: "The transformed labs are a fantastic improvement.
"They give the students a bright, modern environment to learn in’ providing us with some of the best school science facilities available.
"This will help us in our strive to equal or even surpass the excellent GCSE results achieved by our year 11 science students last year.
"It has been particularly pleasing to see the mature and positive way both staff and students responded to the inevitable disruption the improvement works caused."
