HUNDREDS of people attended the first Romsey Makers market.

The town hall was filled with stalls selling a variety of different craft items including handmade soap, glass wear, crocheting, cards and much more.

The market was set up by Kate Hayward who decided to start the market after hundreds of residents got in contact with her on Facebook after she posted about creating a digital community for craft lovers in Romsey.

The 48 year old said: “The event was lovely and went really well, we were so chuffed.

“Lots of the customers stopped and spoke and asked when the next one was taking place which is brilliant.

“The stall spaces for the marker in May have already been filled which is brilliant.”

The next market will take place on May 4 at 11am in the Town Hall.
