A ROMSEY company is set to attend Buckingham Palace after scooping an enterprise award.

ETA, sub sea cable specialists located in The Hundred have been honoured with a Queen's Award for Enterprise under the international trade category.

Founded in 1996 ETA is staffed by a team of naval architects, engineers, graduates and apprentices who specialise in subsea cable projects.

This is the second time that the company have won the award and two members of staff will attend a royal reception Buckingham Palace on June 11.

Director Mike Nichols said: "ETA have been based in Romsey for more than 20 years now and we are very proud to have received this prestigious Queen’s award for the second time.

"International marine projects take us to all corners of the globe in our work supporting the installation of subsea cables but we are pleased to be able to maintain and support our Romsey head office and local workforce."
