MORE THAN 2,500 guests attended an antiques fair in the market town.

Guests enjoyed the popular antiques and arts fair which took place in the Cornmarket, the Town Hall, Abbey Hall, Church Place on May 12.

More than 80 traders took part in the event and organiser town centre manager Mark Edgerley said he was “really pleased” with how the day went.

He said: “It was good to meet visitors from far and near. I would like to thank visitors for braving the roadworks and we do apologise that some stalls were located away from our normal five sites, when the event returns on Sunday 13th October we plan to add a sixth location by having stalls in the newly refurbished Market Place and we promise no major roadworks.”

A wide variety of stalls were at the fair including jewellery, furniture, glass and decorative arts stalls.
