Romsey pupils went on a visit to Portsmouth Dockyard
The children in the reception class from Romsey Abbey Church of England school started the day by meeting with their guide, Clare, in the Portsmouth Navy Museum where they learnt how to be pirates.
During the visit the children dressed up as pirates and investigated different pirate foods, equipment and tools.
After a picnic lunch some pupils undertook the sky tykes assault course, specifically designed for the under sevens, including mini rope bridges, balance beams and obstacles.
Some children tried their hand at being a Royal Marines whilst some had fun on the climbing walls, others chose the boat simulator or the conquer the warrior trail.
Ms Hobbs said “We all had an amazing day at Portsmouth Dockyard, the children loved their learning adventure and their behaviour was exemplary.”
