A ROMSEY choir took part in a competition against choirs from all over the world.
53 members from the Romsey Male Voice Choir took part i the Cornwall International Male Choir Festival over the bank holiday weekend.
The choir came fifth in the big choir category.
Chairman, Peter Ashby said this was a “fantastic result.”
He added: “ We competed against choirs from all over the world including, Finland, Russia and Canada.
“We were absolutely delighted to come fifth as the quality of choirs there was just amazing.”
The choir also sang at the Eden Project on May 6 as part of the festival.
Earlier this month the choir scooped third place in the International Bournemouth choral competition.
For those interested in joining, the choir meet every Monday event at Romsey Baptist Church for two hours at 7:30pm.
Peter said: “People should come along as it’s good fun and you get to spend time with like minded people who love to sing.”
