TEENAGE boys have been arrested after three robberies were committed in just one hour in a New Forest town.

All of the robberies happened in Lymington between 8.30pm and 9.30pm on Tuesday, June 18. No one was injured and no weapons were seen.

The first incident is being treated as an attempted robbery. It took place close to the sports ground in Southampton Road between 8.30pm and 8.47pm.

A 21-year-old man was threatened after being approached by a group of males. Nothing was stolen.

The second incident took place between 8.30pm and 9.06pm in Southampton Road near Waitrose. A 13-year-old boy was approached by a group of males and a phone charger bank was stolen.

The third incident took place in Pennington Square, near Tesco. A 16-year-old boy had a silver chain stolen after being approached by four males.

Officers from Hampshire police have arrested a 19-year-old man and three boys aged 17, 15 and 14. All were detained on suspicion of robbery and have been bailed until July 16.
