ROMSEY has been filled with the sound of music this week as the festival of youth music is underway.

Romsey Live kicked off this year’s festival which is set to consist of 28 events over two weeks.

Stu Marchant, the Festival’s Director of Music, said: “It was a great start to what will be an exciting fortnight of events.

“Also, the weather was kind to us for all of the outdoor events over the weekend!

“We have plenty to look forward to in the next few days including the Choir Festival, the Pianothon on Saturday in The Courtyard at Bradbeers and Music at King John’s House on Sunday.”

The Schools’ Choir Festival is on June 28 in Romsey Abbey starting at 7pm. Eight choirs from local primary and secondary schools will be taking part. Tickets are available at the door.
