HUNDREDS of Test Valley residents came out in force to celebrate the Romsey Carnival.

The carnival saw a procession of floats dominate the town, with some standout acts being a gymnastics display and the Ringwood Pipe Band.

The procession started at Romsey Industrial Estate at 4.30pm and saw a sea of colour line the streets of Romsey until reaching its end point at The Hundred.

A spokesperson from the Romsey Carnival committee said: “The Carnival Chairman, Cllr John Ray, thanks all the entrants and spectators for making this year’s Wheelers Travel Procession one of the best. The thought that went into the floats was truly amazing.

“After a short break, the Committee will start planning for the Winter Carnival events which will culminate in the B. K. P. Winter Procession on 23rd November.”
