DOZENS of people flocked to a Romsey hair salon relaunch last week.

The Khaos Salon located in Church Street in Romsey revealed its new look to an eager crowd on July 19 with the new name Aura Hair.

The news comes after the salon has recently had a full refurbishment.

Sarah Bennett, who has been the owner of the salon for the past two years said the salon was previously looking “tired” but now has a “modern contemporary look.”

She said: "I am very progressive with keeping up with the trends and I cater for people who want more of a classic look as well.

"I am hoping to increase my number of customers as we do seem to have a shortage of hairdressers.

"We do a lot of colour work here and we are very busy in the week. We are open to everybody."

When asked why she decided to rename the salon Aura hair Sarah said: “The word aura sums up our whole being.

“And if you feel good about your hair your aura feels good.

Susie James, who does marketing for their salon, said: "I am delighted with how many people came to support Sarah and the team.

"With Sarah it is all about the colour and the cut and the salon is offering something different which sets Aura apart from others in the area. She has a very loyal client base as well."

Alexa Dymond, who was behind the design of the salon, added: "I think it has gone really well and it has come together very nicely. It looks quite modern a well."

Deanna Hilton, a 72-year-old resident from Romsey, said: "They have highly experienced staff here and it is very welcoming.

"I think it already appeals to young people because my daughter comes here and I come here, because I was very disappointed with my previous hairdresser.

"If I come to Sarah and say I want my hair done likes this she will do everything that she possibly can to get what I am looking for."
