THE 24th World Scout Jamboree is now finished.

The event ran between July 23 and August 2 and saw 45,000 scouts from almost every country in the world show off their skills in West Virginia, USA.

The event was also opened by UK Chief Scout, and TV personality Bear Grylls.

He said: “Young people will make friends for life with people from over 150 countries, experience different food, language and culture while learning new skills.”

He added: “It will be the journey of a lifetime.”

The pictures show scouts from Hampshire, Southampton and Romsey.

Three Test Valley boys got the chance to take part in the jamboree, who included Ewan Pett, 16, Matthew Jones, 14 and Toby Burns, 16.

There were approximately 120 youths who attended the Jamboree from Hampshire.
