HOOK and Newnham Basics under-19s made it treble winning weekend for the club as they won the Hampshire T20 Finals Day at May's Bounty.

Four teams reached this stage of the competition and Hook faced Bashley (Rydal) in their semi-final and came out top winning by seven wickets.

The New Forest side decided to bat first and scored 148-7 as opening bowler Charlie Neville took 3-29 and Alex Campbell 2-22.

In reply, Neville shone with the bat with an unbeaten 48 and shared a second wicket stand worth 58 runs with Alex Brown (36) and then a unbroken half century partnership with Oliver Hewetson-Brown (31).

In the final they faced home side Basingstoke and North Hants who beat Sway in their semi-final after a super over.

Once again Hook were put into the field and Matt Deadman (16) and Josh May (19) put on 42 for the first wicket.

However, from here they were bowled out for 81 as Josh Balcombe (4-9) from 17 balls and Campbell (3-17) doing the damage.

In reply, Hook lost Harry Robson early, but Neville (23 not out) and Alex Brown (retired not out 53) built the platform for victory, which Neville and Elliot Walker finished off.
