A VILLAGER has been fined for assaulting a policeman and bad behaviour in a Winchester city centre pub.
Mark Thomas Mulshaw, 44, of Basingstoke Road, Swarraton, near Alresford, admitted attacking PC Joshua Phipps in the Old Gaolhouse in Jewry Street on August 13 and also being drunk and disorderly in the same incident.
Magistrates in Basingstoke fined him £120 for the assault, £40 for the disorderly behaviour, told him to pay £175 compensation to PC Phipps as well as a £32 victim surcharge.
