THE ANNUAL Awbridge Fun Run is returning for another year.

The action packed day will feature a kids run and an adult run, with more than 250 people expected to run.

The children run is two kilometers and is from the Village Hall and around the conservation area.

It will begin at around 11:15am.

The adult run is six kilometers and is from the Village Hall and is around the whole village.

This will begin around midday.

Fred Tucker, 72, chairman of Awbridge District Village Association has been setting up the race and preparing the numbers.

Senior marshal for the event, Fred, said: "We are looking forward to another great race.

"The weather is looking good for the event and we are hoping for a great day."

The record for the adult race is 28 minutes, the winner of last year's race is running this year.

The run is a countryside based run as they have tried to avoid road running.

There will also be a barbecue to finish off the day at the Village Hall.

You can sign up for the run on their website before the event and you will be entered into a raffle for a £100 gift card, or you can register on the day from 10:30am.

On the day, it is £5 for ages 5 to 17, £10 for over 18 and free for under 5s.

There are discounts available if you pre register and for family tickets.

No pets are allowed and fancy dress is optional.
